Hello everyone!
I’m Makiko, the designer behind KARAKU by me.
Today, I’d love to share a little story about my recent solo trip to Tokyo Disneyland.

To be honest, I haven’t watched many Disney movies,
so I don’t actually know most of the stories.
But lately, I’ve been really into dressing up in outfits inspired by Disney characters whenever I visit the park—it’s so much fun!

This time, I went in a yellow and red outfit, inspired by my favorite bear, Winnie the Pooh. 💛❤️

And guess what?
The very first character I met after entering the park was Pooh himself!
I was so excited—I immediately asked to take a photo together.
Piglet was there too! 🩷

Even though it was a weekday, the park was already in full Christmas mode,
and it was more crowded than I expected.

But that didn’t bother me at all.
My goal wasn’t to go on rides—it was to enjoy shopping, dining, and the parade.

For lunch, I stopped by Center Street Coffeehouse inside the park.
Their little Mickey-shaped butter was just the cutest thing!
After a delicious meal, it was time for some shopping!
I went around almost every shop in the park and ended up buying these adorable items:
🧥 A poncho that will make rainy days more cheerful

🎄 A cozy Christmas-style sweater

🧸 And after a long debate… a Winnie the Pooh plushie!

I hesitated because once I buy a plush toy, I get too attached to let it go—but of course, I couldn’t resist.
Now, I sleep with him every night.

And finally, no Tokyo Disneyland visit is complete without the Electrical Parade.
It was as breathtaking as a live musical—
the lights, the music, the dancing, and all the smiling characters moved me to tears.

No matter how old we get, it’s so important to keep that sense of childlike wonder and excitement.
Whenever I start to forget that feeling amid my busy daily life,
I think I’ll return to Disneyland—to remember how to dream again. ✨
